How hard have you looked?
Just taking a simple look at one tariff (Scottish Power OES14) shows that an E7 user based in the Midlands would pay just 7.95p per unit (tier 2 rate, equivilent to a sc rate). ...
I'm sure if you go and look at some EDF rates you could probably easily beat that.
Of course, unit rates are only part of the story - you really need to consider the whole tariff to get an accurate picture. e.g. I don't mind paying 20p per unit if they are willing to offer me a sizeable discount of some form to compensate"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
the thing is , as mentioned elsewhere - all the really cheap deals (im on a standard meter not E7 so thats pointless to me) are rapidily falling away - they are barely under 10p a unit now (with or without standing charge)0

Just a simple look (there may well be better deals), but in Yorkshire region, SP Direct 2012 costs just 8.120p per kWh (again tier 2 price) - thats not E7"Now to trolling as a concept. .... these prices are also current as of todays date and not in fact the soon to be increased ones.0
