Economy 7 - do I keep it?
I have an economy 7 meter which was in the property when I purchased it. I have a dual fuel agreement with npower. I only really use the e7 rate for 2 hours of the immersion heater every morning and the usual 24/7 stuff like the fridge. The dishwasher and washing machine very rarely go on at night - I am just not organised…

Advice from electric only heating users...?
Hi All Can anyone here who has electric only in their house/flat give me an idea of how much your electricity usage and cost is? What cycle do you have on your heaters, i.e. how long are they on for in morning and evening, not sure if mine are on too long or not. Likewise how long do you heat water for? Thanks David

PIR Motion Sensor to activate indoor lighting?
Following on from my query about energy saving bulbs (here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1419979) it seems I can easily replace the MR16s in my main living area with 35W equivalents for about £3 each. However, most of the energy saving GU10s are an unsuitable shape for my fittings - the only options…

Quantum Meter Rip Off
Nearly a year ago, my grandmother was sent bills from both swalec and british gas informing her that she owed an extortionate amount (cannot remember the exact amount!) and this was due to them both claiming to be undercharging her for a long period of time. Being a pensioner, she was obviously unable to pay them and was…
