To cap or not? Urgent advice please!
Hi everyone. Having seen Martin's urgent advice to go for a cap on gas and electric charges, plus the recent reports that prices could go up 70% in the near future I immediately fed my current charge details into both Uswitch and MoneySupermarket. They both came up with the best being Scottish Power and then Eon.…

British Gas Direct Debit Payments
I am currently with British Gas for electricity supply and have switched to the Click Energy 5 tariff several weeks ago. However, I am very confused and shocked about the direct debit payments we are currently making every month which I really don't think is correct. We are a young professional couple living in a attic…

Saving electricity by turning computer off?
I need to be online a fair amount, but hubby keeps nagging me to turn the computer off when I am not using it, to save electricity. My question is, which is more fuel efficient: 1) to run the PC all day, or 2) to turn off and turn on several times during the day (say 5?) I'd be grateful for your thoughts!

Should I quickly switch 2 capped Dual Fuel Supplier, from NPower or any other options?
I used to be on a prepayment meter for gas & electric. Gas via British Gas Electric - Southern Electric Over a year ago I switched my electric to Npower. Billing query
My query relates to everybody's favourite - nPower. We have economy 7; we pay by direct debit, hadn't had a bill for 5 months. Apparently their policy is to raise bills only every 6 months for customers who are on DD. surely we can ask for more frequent bills? anyway just re checked our last bill and our latest meter…

Wind power - is it limitless?
This is not strictly the correct place to ask this question, but what the hell... We all know there's currently a rush to build windfarms. What do you guys think will be the effect, if any, on the earth's climate if wind energy is siphoned off in this way? Is the energy limitless as it, ultimately, originates from the sun?…
