Questionnaire, what is going on??
Have looked at similar threads on boards, but none exactly like this or were a couple of years old so any thoughts would be great. Basically the place that I work at has been under performing for a while and all employees were called in a week ago, where it was explained that the specific store was not meeting it's targets…

Did you wait for your offer letter before handing in our resignation?
Just wondering when people have handed in their resignation letter? Did you hand it in the day after you received offer over the phone or did you wait for your confirmation letter to come through first?

Urgent : Company acting illegally?
Hi all I usually hang out over at DFW, but I've just found myself in a position and I'm not sure what to do for the best here. At the beginning of January, I started a new job with a company in Watford. When payday rolled around on the 25th, my payslip clearly showed that I was paying some sort of emergency tax. I flagged…

Company offered to pay me off after illness
Today my boss has offered to pay me off from my job. I was pretty shocked and could do with some advice. I have had depression that has rumbled on for months and that is classed as a disability - I've had two weeks off but other than that have been into work and done my job. I've not had any negative feedback during this…

Travelling for employer.

My contract does say a certain amout of work on other sites if required, but surely traveling 77 miles (2 hours) is ridiculous.

Pitching for a lower-level job after redundancy
I was made redundant just before Xmas so am now in the market for a new job. I've seen jobs that are at a lower level from the one I was last in that match my skills and are in line with what I'd like to do (less management and paperwork, more hands-on stuff). However, I don't know (a) whether an organisation would…

Are my wife's employers in the wrong here re. Her sickness?
My wife was ill a couple of weeks ago and got a self cert from our doctors office which she filled in and signed. Our Dr told her to take the week off and that she didn't need to give her a note, that she'd just need the cert so I took it to work for her and all was fine. The next Monday she went back into work, even…
