Job offer if I pay for the training

Have been on JSA now for 5 months. Had interviews but no offers. A friend who owns a salon is looking for a nail technician and if I can qualify the job's mine. Have been looking on the net and private courses are IRO £500+ My question is: is it possible I could qualify for this enterprise allowance I have heard about?

I dont suppose you are in scotland? if you are you could apply for an ILA. D

No I am not in Scotland but thank you for replying. Any and all help/suggestions is more than welcome.

Ask your friend for a loan and pay it back out of your wages.

And check that whatever the training leads to is recognised in the sector generally as making you qualified to be let loose on the public.

Contact your local FE College that provides Beauty Therapy courses. Nail Technician is often done as an extra, stand alone unit and the benefit will be that it is guaranteed to be a recognised qualification and is likely to cost a lot less than a private provider.
