Extracting tax from payment to ex-employee
I'd really appreciate your help on this one. A company I have just left have issued me with a P45, but owe me £5,000. They have said they will pay me the amount less tax. I suspect they are unlikely to tell the tax man about this amount and are simply trying to reduce the sum they owe me. Any thoughts on what I should do…

My huband was made redundant two weeks ago, so is job hunting. John Lewis Sales Jobs - Anybody Had Any Luck?
I have just received yet ANOTHER rejection from an application I made to John Lewis for a Sales Assistant role. It seems to be very hard to get into such a big store. Has anybody else applied to them a few times, and been disappointed at being turned down again and again?
