Questions on refund.
Without going into too much detail my daughter sold a nail gel hardener lamp on e-bay which was in perfect working order, however, the recipient claimed it wasn't doing the job properly on her nails. After much too-ing and fro-ing with e-mails my daughter decided if the recipient wasn't happy with her purchase then she…

Gumtree money transfer - urgent advise please!
Hi guys my first post please advise me. I have found a good deal on gumtree and got in touch with the seller. He seems a genuine person giving me all details of the item and even in the initial stages at some point I told him I can't pay that much and we moved on. Looking for the same items on other websites I realized…

Ebay Buyer Promotions
Does anyone know if Ebay/Paypal are going to run any buyer promotions this Christmas, I recall last year having £5 discounts. Was hoping cashback sites would've worked something out for Blackfriday but it just stayed the same at a measly 1%. Need to buy a couple of things but am holding back.

Ebay Buyer wants return for.....
I sold a £5 note on ebay with a unique serial number . The buyer has requested a refund after 17 days claiming it to be bought as a gift for a birthday present but it was a mistake and it now no longer required. Do they have a claim? Returns were stated as not accepted on the original listing.

Anyone else think the first picture is a bit wrong?
As title states. I was looking for a kilt for my child and I had came across this. There's something unsettling about this picture in my opinion or is it just me?…

MyHermes "Failed to add - please try again."
MyHermes "Failed to add - please try again." Have this error, and I recall it's been mentioned on here before, was it related to certain addresses or post codes. This is an address in Skylines Village although I believe last time someone had an address Hermes wouldn't accept it was a Parcelmotel or self storage. Or am I…

Christmas posting dates and closures
Just the annual reminder about Post Office and RM closures over Christmas and the New year: http://www.royalmail.com/greetings The important thing is that Christmas Eve, December 24th is a normal Saturday for deliveries and PO opening (although check your own branches in case) but then there are no deliveries or…

The good old 'postage slowdown' seems to be hitting!
Ah, that time of year again - a lot of parcels we've sent with MyHermes (via P2G) seem to be taking their time again. A few with UK Mail have also taken a few days to land, on a next-day service. Is it just me, or is it affecting others too? :)

Yet another wrong item, seller changed listing.
Arrghhh.. Having one of those months with ebay. I have posted about an INR and the seller giving a fake tracking number. No response from that yet. Bought 2 items from a seller and only one arrived, just messaged them asking if they sent them separately. Ordered a wrong item my mistake, didnt know they had different…

"FM" codes for collection
My local sainsburys are offering the click and collect service for Ebay items which is bloody handy. I ordered an item last Tuesday It has a "your item is being processed" note on it. I left it until Sunday as I appreciate people have lives too and I know its not always easy to get to the post office. I emailed them to ask…

Ebay refund?
Hi i'm new to this and don't use Ebay to sell very often, I just wanted to sell some bits before my baby arrived, so could really do with some help :) I sold an item on Ebay a few weeks ago and the buyer asked for a refund as he said parts were missing. He had actually read the description incorrectly, but I agreed to…

no card left - from buyers point of view
We often get threads that suggest all buyers claiming INR are scammers etc but at the moment I am having an issue where I can see it from the other side. My OH ordered an item from a shop, not ebay, a place he uses regularly. We have a tracked RM 48 (not quite sure what service that equates to in a non business sense) and…

Simple eBay question
Basically, I am looking at buying a folding desk chair, but the one I like on eBay. The company is based in Germany (still priced in £ though). Does will I have to pay anything to import it over here?

Paypal friends and family
With the rise of 'facebook' and Gumtree type sales we seem to have started getting a few threads about buyers being scammed by the paypal 'friends and family' payment option. I see these scams though a great deal on various Facebook selling pages. Out of interest I've just gone into paypal as though I wished to make a…

Buyer's PayPal "not working"
Buyer has messaged to say their PayPal is playing up and can I send my email so they can pay via another PayPal account. Am not comfortable with this, I don't think it will register properly on eBay and offer the same protection. Am I right to be cautious? I'm happy to wait until they can sort it out with PayPal.

Return request - Buyer not responded back
On EBAY I sent a small jewellery box of my partner’s she wanted selling & it sold via EBAY GSP (global shipping programme). Buyer received it ok. The foreign buyer started a EBAY return case a few days after receiving it (probably knowing full well you can’t return via GSP), citing the item had a broken lid wasn’t closing…
