Where have all the Motability Cars gone?
My first post after being a member for a while. I didn't know whether this should go into the Motoring sector or the Disability sector so I hope I am posting in the right part of the forum. Not to put too finer point on it, my current Motability car is coming upto three years old and I have been sent the necessary…

Stannah stairlifts
Hi everyone, my parents have been quoted for a stairlift from Stannah and it seems awfully expensive to me - in excess of £5000 to have it fitted. Is this the normal price? I realise they are more expensive than other stairlifts but this really does seem a lot of money to me.

New to this part of Mse.
I'm hoping I can get some help. Its more 'disability' than 'dosh'. I have been ill for a long time, (ten years this year) and my health goes up and down a lot. This summer has been a funny one as I have been better in a lot of ways and worse in some other ones. Something that has come up both at home and finally this week…

Ignorant People
Due to my car being in the garage for a repair I have had to use public transport to get to work which itself is a challenge and only worsens the effects of my condition. When I got on the tram this morning there was nowhere to sit so I politely asked a person sat in a 'Priority seat' which is specifically signposted as…

No consent given
Hi, not sure if this is the correct place, so sorry if it is not. My GP has sent the report off. I…

motability change car early
Hi I received my motability car 4 days ago however I am unhappy with the car. I just don't feel comfortable and have lost confidence in the car. I don't like the ride and handling of the car and have hardly driven it since. I'd prefer a bigger car and an automatic. I phoned motability and they said its far too early on and…

Do I qualify for a discount with a masseus or physio
I am registered as disabled and receive DLA. I am usually just plodding along through life accepting my disability and trying to deal with it and things like not being able to bend down to tie my laces etc. but lately I've been thinking I'm fed up of just accepting it and I'm going to really try to improve my condition. I…

Crutches Advice please?
Hello I have an op next week and instead of feeling down about it I decided to give myself a project so I can see the positive. Lol! I have my own crutches, I know how I am decorating the aluminium, but I want to paint the grey rubber cuff/handle. What type of paint is best? I was thinking spray paint but will be gutted if…

After signing up and waiting for my start date, I got a letter inviting me to discuss…

Confirmation of a letter without using recorded delivery
Hi everyone, I'm someone who has used the forum for years now, and only signed up a couple of months ago, after needing help with something very specific, which I was then chastised for and nearly deleted my account. However instead, I decided I'd give it another go, and hope that it was just me over-reacting to the…
