DLA problems with getting my renewal in too soon?

Just had a horrible thought!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been working on my DLA renewal for the past three weeks & should be ready for the return of the form within the next week BUT - eeek! Could they turn it around quickly & say "no award with immediate effect", or would it be "no continuation of award from my renewal date" which is the first week of next January.
So should I delay sending it off as they said "they needed ten weeks to make their decision but to get the from back ASAP"?

I sent mine in early (in May of this year), the decision was made quickly. My award was downgraded but this did not take effect until the day after my previous award ended (in August).0

Useful to know.
Now my form is 95% done I would hate it to be sitting around in the house for too long. It would give me nightmares
You say the decision was made quickly but how long did it take if you don't mind me asking?0 -
I always thought that the decision on the renewal form took precedent over the existing award, i.e if the renewal decision was that the benefit is no longer due or it was downgraded then the benefit changed from that point?
Or am I wrong[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Can anyone else help on this one?0

I'm just bumping this topic up as I, along with the OP, am interested in the correct answer on this.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

I've Googled but not getting the information I want. I suppose the could call the DLA Helpline but ........ groan - trying to avoid that!!! I'm still a few days away from being able to submit mine anyway.0 -
Sorry, I have only just come back to this thread. My decision was made within a couple of weeks, IIRC. Yes, I had thought that the new decision would come into effect immediately, but it seems that they honoured the original end date.0

Again just bumping this up.
Hopefully someone will have the answer to the OP question[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.
