Can Halifax debt be taken from TSB?
Due to a very slow response rate from Halifax at the moment I'm expecting fraudulent transactions on Halifax Credit Card to became debt soon. I'm moving income, standing orders and DD to another bank to be on safe side. Is my TSB account used for savings in any danger of being raided?

I'm currently around £5500 in debt on my Barclary Card, i believe the APR on it is around 18-19%, and am paying it off at around £700 a month. My hope was to be debt free by now but with the lockdown meaning i had to buy gym equipment and one of my dogs needing around £6000 a surgery over the last 12 months, it got to a…

Cabot sending someone round. Unenforceable debt
I’ve just received a letter from Cabot informing me that they will be sending Resolvecall to my home. I have not been paying as after sending a CCA request, they confirmed that the debt was unenforceable. What do I do? They want me to call them within 7 days or these people will visit me.

No contact from creditors - What will happen?
Hi everyone, First post from me, hope you're all well? I got myself into a financial pickle back in 2011 and since then I've worked hard to get myself straight. I've cleared the majority of my debts and am no longer getting letters chasing me etc, feels great. However, there are a handful of my creditors that have simply…

Will paying off a loan damage my credit?
Hi I owe RBS approx. £9,000 and have another 35 monthly repayments to make. I now have the funds to pay this off in full. I do not think there would be any penalty (from my reading of the loan agreement) and I would save money on interest. However, I am worried that I would damage my credit, especially as I am due to…

DWP debt - any limitation period?
Hi All I've made incredible progress towards becoming debt-free over the last few months. One debt that I have yet to tackle is £800 due to DWP. My debt to Cabot is unenforceable (they acknowledged this fact) but since then (2/3 months ago) they have sent me countless letters & emails wanting me to set up a new payment plan (I am not doing this). Today I have had an email 'threatening' me with a 'legal review' if I don't 'get back on track'. What does this mean…

What small DFW things will you do w/c 6th July
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…
