    Hi,
Well done, however, make sure the letter states, words to the effect of -

"neither us nor any associate company will take any other action to collect or enforce this debt in any way and that you will be released from any and all liability".

    Very important few lines.

  • Dear Smallie210,

Please can I ask how you got started with your negotiations? And what is a F&F settlement offer? I owe money on a credit card that has been closed (to stop any further spending) for over 6 years now and despite paying the minimum each month or more, I keep getting letters asking for more.

Any help would be greatly received.

    Thank you Sourcrates, will do.
    Hi aegedreamer84
I just sent an email with a Full and Final settlement offer along with a spreadsheet which shows my income and expenditure. it's important that you ask them to confirm in writing that if they do accept your offer, they won't contact you again regarding this debt. Look at what Sourcrates wrote, that's worded better.
If they reject the offer you can negotiate which is what I did.
    Is your account in default?

Also bear in mind that if you choose to partially settle the debt, it will be marked as this on your credit file for six years.
