Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th April - What small DFW things will you do today??!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

Can you send a prove it letter at any time?
Can you still send a prove it letter at any time (its been years and have been paying then though Gregory Penninton) ? All my accounts are shown as settled on my file - my default is due to drop off my file in a few months. Will doing this impact my credit file? I want to know who is looking after each of the debts.

Swappinig Energy Supplier Whilst on DMP
Hi My current energy plan is coming to an end in June and I've been looking around and different suppliers. There are a lot coming out cheaper and I wondered whether it is a good idea trying to swap whilst on a DMP. I presume a new supplier would do a credit check ? Wasn't sure if they are likely to turn down the…

Overdue HMRC debt (to say the least) - bankruptcy threatened
I've been massively useless for the last 7 years. I've been self-employed, made very little money, and not paid any tax. I'm eternally optimistic and figure everything works out ok in the end, so I've mostly ignored this problem. Every few weeks a letter'll turn up from HMRC, and I put it in a pile with the other ones.…

HSBC Telephone Banking
Ahhhhhh! Been trying to get through to HSBC for the last two hours! I want to make my FINAL payment on a loan and they're just not answering the phone. They have got the worst customer service in the world and last time I had to call them it cost me £14 because their "customer service representatives" are so useless. Funny…
