Friday 22 April - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning all :hello:
Aw, I feel sad that Prince has died. This year feel unlucky in terms of celebrity deaths. Had to have a giggle that dd thought I meant Prince Charles - bless her.
Made it to Friday :j Hope everyone is ok - I'm still tired, and still stressed out about the volume of exam marking I have to do. Think there's a serious amount of work coming home with me this weekend. Eek!
So, what to do today...
Check banking and PAD
Minimal housework
Marking like my life depends on it
Aim for nsd
Get dd to cheer and gymnastics
Get ds to football (logistical nightmare as this is at the same time as cheer and there's only me to be the taxi)
Meals from stores
Definitely no heating
Spend some time crocheting tonight - I have too many projects on the go at once and need to catch up a bit.
Aim for 7000 steps to get Bounts, but I may be too busy marking
That will do - have a good one folks - we can make it to the weekend. :TNot giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning cat thanks for starting. Yeah to it being Friday :T I saw prince in concert (in my youth:o) he was amazing. Went to a friends last night, we were supposed to be going out but her DH was due back from work late so I went round instead. Spend - £0, goodness for the soul £priceless

My Friday will mainly look like this:
Check banking, FPL, surveys
Made sandwich for lunch, used empty bread bag to transport rather than cling film
Take OOD packet of crisps
Snack on fruit
Meal out with friend tonight, will be fairly cheap as I'm driving and we're both trying to be good
Quick fly lady round house
Washing on overnight tonight
Think that's about all, have a good day everyone. PF0 -

Up early again (dog woke me just before 6), and didn't get to sleep till after midnight
Wish I could sleep better!

Empty and clean out defunct dishwasher and find out where to call to get it fixed

Cleaning - dining room light fitting, which I forgot yesterday, and deep clean the lounge today (at least!)
Deal with a bit of paperwork (already started this)
See if anything needs watering in the garden
See what needs using up or freezing in the fridge - we are going away for the weekend and I don't want anything to get wasted!
Need to buy some dog food and a birthday card (already have a suitable present), plus some treats for grandchildren at the weekend

Just worked out what we have coming out as Direct Debits and it's extremely tight this month so will have to look at what we can do r.e. funds
bad news 0 -
Good Morning All,
Had a much better night with DS2, he had a bottle at 10pm and went through to 5am
both me and OH went to bed after his bottle so woke feeling much fresher. £100 reward card finally arrived for switching TV so that will help with the end of the month and will stock up on shopping essentials for the next month. Usual house hunting today. Managed to get a new pair of trainers off fleabay for £4 in total, brand new, RRP £24.99. Much needed as I never get myself anything, always prioritise kiddies. It's my birthday soon so will be requesting essentials I am lacking!
Happy Friday all! xDMP Started June 20160
