Tuesday 29th September - What small DFW things will you do today?
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

Text message from Cabot
Just got a text message from Cabot asking me to contact them to discuss my debt with Barclaycard. I am currenlty repaying the company as part of my self-administered DMP. My first thought is not to reply because I prefer to do everything in writing. Why can't these people just leave me alone! I'm paying them a respectable…

Now 2 months later they are saying the letter was a mistake and I still owe the money. Would like advice on where I stand…

Letter chasing debt which has dropped off CF
Today I received a letter from Link regarding a debt which I believe is SB and is no longer showing on my CF. I think this may be due to me updating my address as the letter said they had been unable to contact me. How can I check if it's SB, I definitely have not acknowledged the debt in the last 6 years. Thank you

Barclaycard full and final offer
I have an outstanding debt to barclaycard. Over the past two years I have been making either £1 token payments or reduced payments (below monthly minimum) and they even suspended interest for a while. Despite this, they haven't sold the debt on and are still dealing with it in house. 3 weeks ago I offered them 40% f&f.…

very old debt
Hi i'm paying off a very old (circ. 1997) loan debt to BLS (was Lloyds Bank). I have never not paid - this was a debt that my ex husband left me with. I was wondering whether it's worth sending a prove it letter? If so, can anyone provide me with the template. It's probably only for about £500 now (was £10k) Thanks Anna

Additional income and tax - so confusing!
Hi, I'm trying to make some additional income through surveys and streetspotr and various other Apps. I'm fairly sure that its OK to sell things on Ebay without declaring tax as everything I sell are things I own and that I make a loss on. But now that I am thinking of trying to make a few £'s (and lets face it, filling in…
