Text message from Cabot

Options
Just got a text message from Cabot asking me to contact them to discuss my debt with Barclaycard. I am currenlty repaying the company as part of my self-administered DMP.
My first thought is not to reply because I prefer to do everything in writing. Why can't these people just leave me alone!

I'm paying them a respectable monthly payment. I owe around £600 .
Just needed to vent

Any idea how to handle this? Ignore, acknowledge or wait and see?

Probebly an automated text, gets sent automatically if you are behind with your payments.
This will not take into account any arrangement you already have with them, I would ignore completely !!!!

Thanks. I pay via direct debit every month. No changes. Same amount since April when I start my own DMP. Text has come 'out of the blue'. But, probably an automated text as you say. Causes needless stress non the less.

    Yup, will do.

  • Hi they often send these texts out towards the end of the month hoping you will end up paying more and they will beat target for the month and earn bonus! So dont worry about contacting them unless you need too and then only do so in writing. Good luck! x
