Tuesday 29th September - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free!
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending!
So be proud of those small steps, they really important! :money:

Morning Jedis,
Quick post and run.
* Go to work.
* Take a packed lunch.
* Use free relaxation App.
* Use £1.89 stress-reduction App. If it works it'll be a good investment.
Have a good day; see you all on my "weekend".

Good morning all. Thanks Ally for starting us off (and thanks for the link yesterday as well). Another day, another day of dh not getting up :mad: It's ds birthday today so we will carry on regardless. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Good morning All
Ally - thanks for the start today. Hope work will be good to you/for you.
Yorkshire - from yesterday's thread. That must be strange for you going back to maternity ward for your son's monthly treatments.
CCL- that's why you are a hero. Because you feel like that and carry on anyway. No one in your shoes could be unaffected seeing their partner in that state. Your DFD is so close now as well. Go you!
LegoMum- thanks for the boost that was a nice thing to say. In all honesty I am just trying to get to a point where once this baby comes I have a small buffer in my business account to try and get over the hump of having to stop work for some kind of time. It's a very difficult thing as I never know what I will take day to day, have bills coming out most days, & also buy my base ingredients each day to avoid being in costly supplier relationships which I have found very hard to manage in the past. So I start each week with a figure in mind but it often varies massively.
If I could be at home now doing nothing and not feel like that was a bad move for the business I probably would.
No one in my family seems to get where I'm coming from. I mean extended family. I often feel they think I'm a workaholic. Or a cold woman. I'm neither. I'm just trying not to damage my existing life by losing what I've killed myself over the last 3 years, including heavily investing in ourselves. Dammed if I will lose it now to tick someone else's box of what a woman having a baby should do!
Sorry for long reply today
Have a good one everyone who follows.

((Hugs)) CCL. Sorry to hear what you are going through at the moment. You have achieved such a lot though, and are so close to being debt free :A Once your debt is paid, will it be possible to make some changes in order to make your life a bit easier? I do hope so.
