Hi All I am looking to start a debt management plan (dmp) shortly with CCCS but I would preferrably have a self-administered one as one or two or my creditors are small (less than £500.00) whilst the other 5 are considerably larger (£2500.00+). I've already got a payment plan with one of the small debtors (Eon / BCW -…

Sat 13th Feb - What small DFW's have you done today?
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

Why do I yo-yo diet (financially)?
Hi peeps Are there any other yo-yo financial dieters out there? I seem to always be either COMPLETELY skint (couldn't even find £3 for a school trip this week), or I've just been paid so I have some money. I've done a SOA, and know what money is spent where, and i'm under no illusion that I spend too much (mostly useful…

CCS Collect
Hello. I recently received a letter from CCS Collect regarding a bookclub which, apparently, I did not fullfill my obligation to. It's one of those clubs where you buy some cheap books and then must buy so many more in the year. I think I only had to buy two more, but CCS are demanding £152. Does anyone know what I can do?…

Help, please. Is a default notice as damaging as a DRO?
I have debts to Lloyds and Barclaycard (now Mercers, soon to be Calder...). Payplan advised I take a DRO, but that didn't seem a good idea at the time, because of the damage it would do to my credit rating, and also I felt I should try to stand by my debts. Instead I tried to come to an arrangement with my creditors.…
