Hi
Its Deejay with an update on my bailiff problem.
Despite continuing to pay 100.00 a month against my council tax debt I am still being harressed by the bailiff to enter my property. As I have told him no way, his latest ploy is to write to me informing that he has booked van time to collect any vehicles that I own from my property and will be charging me 130.00 for the pleasure.
This conflict between us is beginning to cause a lot of stress for myself and wife. I know my rights on this but this company will not accept them and are pushing more and more to force me to give in and allow them access.
Regards
Deejay

Hi Deejay - has he actually been in your house yet? If not then he hasn't levied your goods. If he hasn't levied the goods then I'm pretty sure he can't start charging you for van fees. There are very strict rules about what money can be charged for what visits - make sure he is not adding on illegal fees. Have a look at the links below and compare to what you have been charged.

Hi
has he done a levy on the vehicles? If so he can remove them.
If not, then you need to "sell" them to a safe member of the family, immediately. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
