Community furniture Stores

Just to let everyone know about the community furniture stores, I know some of you will already know, but I had never heard of them until a year ago.
Anyone can shop there, sometimes we need furniture items, but can't afford new, they are great and deliver.
Most of the stuff is donated, but has to conform to the current safety standards. They also have new items such as beds, matresses and washing machines that they buy at reduced rates, so are much cheaper than the shops.

I looked into this about a year ago, I dont think there are any in Bristol but would love something like that here. We have 2 charity furniture stores which is great because most second hand stores seem to have died away.
If you look up community furniture store on google it brings up links to stores in different locations.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -
thanks for that tiff, I have just googled, hadn't realised they were such a localised thing, sorry my ignorance, we have 3 near us one each in the 3 nearest towns/city, shame they are not everywhere.Debt Free Dec 2009non-smoker 19th Nov 2010Trying to lose weight 40lb/42lb
