Advice please reg ccj

I would like some advice please.
My partner and I took a loan out many years ago. For various reasons we got into financial difficulty and could not afford the repayments and ended up with a CCJ with this loan.
We have been paying the stated amount quite happily, until 2008. They stopped taking the payments (payments were taken on my debit card!). We tried to contact the company, only to find out that they were no longer the company that we had taken the loan out with (telephone numbers were still the same, just not the name). We explained why we were ringing, but it took them a while to find our details. When they did find us, they wanted us to up our payments. We explained that we had a ccj, but they didn't believe us and asked us to send in a financial statement. We didn't, we sent in a letter stating we had a ccj and that told us to pay the stated amount a month until the balance was clear.
They sent us a letter back, stating that we could continue with our payments. Roll on until this morning, we received a letter from a debt agency stating that if we did not make contact with them they will send someone around to our house. It turns out that the other company had not taken any payments (I hadn't noticed-other things going on - long story) for the last few months.
We contacted this debt company and explained everything above, they want us to send in a financial statement. Again, we explained that we have a ccj on this account, but they have no record.
My question is, where do we go from here. I am happy to keep on paying the ccj amount, but am worried that nobody seems to have a record of the ccj - i have and it is on my credit record.
It also doesn't seem right that I send in a financial statement if I have a ccj, surely the company needs to stick with the court judgement?
Sorry for the longwinded post.
Any advice is appreciated.

short and narrow is send them a copy of the judgment, take it you have kept the payments aside?0

If it's not your fault that they stopped taking payments, and you can produce a copy of the CCJ (and even if you can't, I'm sure the court would have a copy) then I don't think they have a leg to stand on.
Probably a good idea to talk to the CAB, CCCS or similar.0
