Credit applications when moving home
When buying a home and planning to apply for credit after you get the keys, is it better to apply with your old address before moving? so as to not complicate the I.D. checks. My old address will be the family home so I will not need to worry about documents going missing.

Two wrong updates - virgin media
Hey people, so January this year I closed an account with virgin media, in March it still showed as opened and not settled, so I contacted them, they told me it would be updated ASAP. April, it was still open, so I disputed it via Equifax, and within a day it was updated as settled in December (wrong), but still January…

Does switching banks affect credit file?
I’m thinking of taking advantage of the NatWest offer, but don’t want the closing of my Barclays account to affect my rating. No money is owed, and I’ve had the account since 2016.

Credit expert - affordability
Hey! I’ve just checked my credit file on credit club. My affordability shows as poor, and my disposable income low. Now, each month, my disposable income is around 80% of my wage, 20% goes on bills etc, and 80% is disposable... surely that should be higher? As it’s not accurate at all. My affordability is also a lot higher…

MSE Credit Club score different to Experians own score
Yesterday (14th April) my Experian credit score was updated and today (15th April) my MSE Credit Club score (provided by Experian) was updated. The problem is they are different from each other and nothing has happened within the past 24 hours which should affect my score. Why would this be?

Old Debt pay in full or not?
I have a query... I have 2 old debts, around 15 years old so not showing on my credit file, current balances 3k and £600 being paid now to debt collection agencies Due to poor management of my finances I'd been paying nominal payments for many years (stupid I know!) Fast forward until I had my lightbulb moment a few years…

Different information on Noddle and Experian
Hello I have a county court judgement from August 2016 recorded on my file from noddle but my Experian holds nothing. My credit rating as a whole is very poor and I am desperate to improve it, have taken steps in the last few months and it has gone up, but I’m worried a very poor credit rating with a CCJ could prevent me…

Free Experian report now includes total borrowing figure
I have just noticed that the free Experian report (Credit Matcher) now includes a total borrowing figure. This is more up to date than the equivalent figure on the MSE Experian report but there is no way at the moment of telling how frequently this is updated. I am not sure why Experian have done this but it must be an…
