Credit applications when moving home

When buying a home and planning to apply for credit after you get the keys, is it better to apply with your old address before moving? so as to not complicate the I.D. checks.
My old address will be the family home so I will not need to worry about documents going missing.

If you're relying on a mortgage, don't apply for anything until you've completed.0

Indeed, I am holding off until that time. Planning to get a new 0% card for purchases, so I can keep my savings in the bank as my emergency fund.
Just trying to work out if it can hinder chances of credit, if giving a new address which will not be on the electoral register for a while.0 -
It can do, but it's nothing permanent.0
