Different information on Noddle and Experian

Options
Hello

I have a county court judgement from August 2016 recorded on my file from noddle but my Experian holds nothing.

My credit rating as a whole is very poor and I am desperate to improve it, have taken steps in the last few months and it has gone up, but I’m worried a very poor credit rating with a CCJ could prevent me getting a mortgage?

Any advice - thanks!

It might be worth posting in the mortgage forum. With a relatively recent ccj, you should use a broker who deals with adverse credit. Expect to need a bigger deposit.

    Has the ccj been satisfied?
  • Ignore your score or rating as it’s not a real thing.
Lenders will only look at the data in your files.

Does the CCJ appear on an Equifax report?
  • I’m not sure, I’ll check. Thank you.

The CCJ is from August 2016.

I have a fairly large deposit because my parents passed away and left me some money but I didn’t know whether the CCJ ‘counted’ as it only appeared on one file.

It 'counts' for anyone who sees it.

Check ClearScore as well, if the CCJ is correct it should really be on all of them

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
