Complaint about missing default: Barclaycard
I wonder whether people could help me here? Rather than relate the history, I'll paste a complaint letter I have drafted below, which should explain what is going on. Just to say: this information on my file, appearing to suggest I was in arrears more recently than I actually was has been damaging me –!so I basically need…

Lasting Power of Attorney and Credit Score
Today my father broached the subject of setting up a lasting power of attorney so to help him I bookmarked the advice on the MSE website. My only problem with this is that I have a dismal credit score due to stupid behaviour when I was younger. I am concerned that the banks would refuse to allow me to be his attorney…

Electoral register--problem or not?
Was checking our credit reports last night and, with Experian, the wife's report said she was not on the electoral register. This was news to us as she voted in the last general election and, according to the previous report, she was definitely registered. Phoned out local electoral dept at the council only to be told that…

Defaults Removed - No Change in score?
I questioned 2 x defaults from the same company a couple of months ago. I was lucky and they agreed I was in the right and said they would remove them. They have been removed but my credit score hasn't changed! I would have expected it to go up a few marks considering it went down heaps when the defaults were added......…

Do large cash withdrawals affect credit ratings?
I'm considering making a large cash withdrawal (in excess of £100k) from one of my bank accounts (not my main bank account). I appreciate I'll have to give the bank notice of this withdrawal to ensure they have the cash ready, but will such a large withdrawal in cash affect my credit rating?

Can't get accepted for a credit card to boost my credit file
I have applied through a various amount of credit card companies to help me boost my credit rating, but they've declined my applications. What are my other options to improve my credit rating instead? I have a mobile phone contract which am paying off, but that's about it. I'm also on the electrol roll.

Loan company checked me twice same day.
I recently purchased a new tent on 10 months interest free. My credit rating was great so knew I would be ok. Problem is it has now taken a dive and looking at Noddle it appears that the company checked me twice one after the other. The second one says administration check. Is this what could have changed my score quite…

Vodafone Default Affecting Credit Rating - Please Help!!!
I recently checked my credit report, as I am looking to get a mortgage, only to discover that I have a default with Vodafone. I then came to the realisation that this default is from a contract that I took out for an ex partner who hasn't paid it (yes, stupid thing to do). I accept the fact that I have made a mistake and I…

Hi Can anyone tell me at what point the 6 years starts please? I defaulted in 2011, due to job loss, made regular payments every month without fail, but the interest had been waived, repaid in full in 2015, but every monthly repayment between 2011 and 2015 shows as a default. Do they take the date the account first went…

credit score plunge
So after spending time on here, I'm fully aware that your credit "score" is just a number but I can't help but be concerned that it's nosedived into oblivion. Why? Because I moved house. I'm looking to lease a new car in the next 2 months but Experian has me listed as very poor because I'm "credit hungry". Have I taken out…
