Disposable income rating?
I'm just looking at my rating/score through the MSE Credit Club (my Experian score is 830 out of 999 Fair) and under my 'Disposable income' rating it says: Sadly, it’s likely you’ve little free cash, so lenders probably think you can’t afford to borrow much more. How do they know this? Can they see in my bank accounts and…

I was sent a letter by my bank (Natwest) about loans. Between me and my partner, we have a lot of debt (credit cards and overdrafts) so I took them up on their offer applied for a loan. I was turned down so am wondering if there is anything I can do to find out why or improve my rating for next time? Are there any loan…

Hi all, Is it possible to fight a mark on your credit score for a late payment / how can you start to redeem your score if not?? I brought a flat last October under shared ownership. To make the initial mortgage payment in November (1.5 months approx) I set up a direct debit and paid. Then realised from Dec I had to reduce…

Clear score very slow to update
I started using clear score at the beginning of last year, basically because it was free. My wife has always used Experian. I notice that clear score is much slower to update your details after a change. Most of my accounts on there are showing they were last updated on Feb 2nd. I've opened a new joint account and a…

Buy-to-let mortgages on credit report
Hi, Should buy-to-let mortgages be linked to the address they are for, or does it make any difference? I am within two years of paying off my home mortgage but I also have two BTLs with 10 and 13 years outstanding. My credit report lists my home mortgage and one of the BTLs, but not the other. And there is no mention of…

Random question but I am going to apply for a credit rate and currently my credit score still shows me registered on the electoral roll at my old address I've been waiting for this to change for a couple of months now. Defaulted account due to fraud, am I due compensation?
I have recently been a victim of fraud with O2 and two phones were taken out on my name, ranking up a total bill of over £1800. Not knowing about this until I started receiving letters from O2 about late payments, I decided to file it as fraud. When I got confirmation from my bank for O2 that it was fraud, the debt had…

How 'exactly' do I submit queries/corrections on MSE Credit Club/Experian?
I logged into MSE Credit Club and viewed my credit report, which has some things on there that don't make sense to me. I clicked the Corrections and Queries link and it says you can add notes and even gives some tips about how to write them but WHERE do I click? I can't see it. Further down it also mentions "Need more…

Experian punishing me for settling a debt early!
Hi all. I think this is quite complex so i'll do it it short points to hopefully get the facts across easier! * Had a DMP years ago * Owed IDEM approx £2000, paid them an agreed amount as per the plan, but because it was less than the original agreed amount - was getting red marks on my experian every month - fair enough.…

Late Payments - Idem Servicing
Hi all, First post, apologies if it's in the wrong place or throughly well answered. I recently checked my credit file for the first time and discovered that a loan that I settled in 2015 (originally Egg Money, then Britannica, and finally Idem) had 3 late payment markers. One was from 2013 and two were from 2014. I…

Clearscore-recent searches in a former name?
I've just been browsing my Clearscore account and in June 16 and in January 17 there have been searches in my former name. I've been married and changed my name over 21 years ago. The entry says 'search for no search type' I'm obviously concerned by this - should I be? Do I need to follow up?
