Incorrect Credit File Recording- Moorgate

Hi,
Excuse the legth of this post but I am wondering if any one has had any luck having incorrect late/missed payment markers removed from their credit file?

It's a long story but basically myself and my husband have been on a DMP since he was made redundant back in 2010, recently we looked into re-mortgaging specifically with a company that accepts applicants on DMP's as long as there is no history of late or missed payments in the previous 3 years (we have never missed/paid late) only to be rejected based on my husband's credit file. When we then checked the file we found that 'Moorgate loan servicing' (who had bought the debt associated with an MBNA credit card) had been marking the debt as under a DMP but also as late and missed payment for the past 4 years!

We contacted them to dispute the incorrect information and they insisted that the credit reporting is correct. We then contacted the financial ombudsman who upheld our complaint (you can look it up under decision reference DRN0521072 on the financial ombudsman website) and ordered Moorgate to remove the incorrect information and pay us a token amount of compensation.

The decision was made back at the beginning of December and Moorgate have so far not removed the entries or paid the compensation. We have contacted the Ombudsman again and they are investigating but we have not heard anything in over a month.
This is very frustrating as it will be nearly a year since we first discovered the mistake and we have not made any progress!

Anyone else out there had any success with anything similar?
