Identity fraud on my credit report
I have recently been refused credit with my bank due to a note on my file. I been with them for over 20 years eventhough and they say I have an excellent rating with them they would not help with this note and I was refused the account I needed. Having checked with Experian and Equifax there are no issues and, again, I…

Which credit reference agency is more reliable? Noddle/Experian/Equifax etc..?
The first website I ever used properly was Noddle, after opening an Aqua account and they used Noddle. This was around this time last year and my score was rated 3/5 and poor. Now I know the score doesn't matter as such, but over this past year, my score never really moved. It's gone up and down a matter of a few numbers…

Everything is paid...now what?
Had a nightmare week! Found out I have ANOTHER ccj that I knew nothing about! It's only showing on my Noddle credit file and none others! I didn't open the account, whoever did applied using my middle name and misspelt my surname, but I can't prove it and I need to pay a fortune to try to (the ccj is for £221 so I'll just…

Setting up a joint account help - Credits Scores
Hi all, I want to set up a joint account with my partner but she has a worse credit rating score to me. I've been warned not to do it at all because when you do it your credit scores become linked. However she has been slowly improving it and it is now 377 and mine is 944. Can I find out how setting up a joint account…

Default Dated - 18/11/11
Hi All, First of all I know I should endeavour to pay all debts back, but just a common sense question really. I've worked really hard the last 6 years to finally relieve myself of all debts, I'm now down to just an overdraft of £500 that should be done this month and one defaulted credit card account from November. This…

Is it too late to Settle an Account once it has been Satisfied
So here's my issue. I have a default that is dated 06/08/2012. It has been satisfied since 2014. I do realise that this will come off my account next year, but I would like to remove it or at least settle it. Question is... Is it too late to settle the account & will it make much or any difference to my credit score.…

I have a number of credit cards, all of which I pay off the monthly balance in full by direct debit when the due date comes around. I have a Barclaycard too, which I'm currently not using for spending, as I took up an offer for a money transfer-the terms were (from memory) 18 months money transfer for 0%, apart from a 1.9%…

Out of statute debt
I just received a letter from Capquest regarding a Topshop card that I opened in 2004 (and frankly had forgotten it existed). The last payment that was made to it they say was in 2008 and the default appeared in 2009. They had two telephone numbers for me on the account that I do not recognise as well. I've disputed the…

Looking to Quickly Improve a Poor Credit File
Hi, I am making enquiries on behalf of a client who is looking to apply for a mortgage in the next year, actually sooner rather than later. The mortgage required is for around £40,000. Deposit available is £10,000. Hence an 80% mortgage would be fine, my client believes she can stretch to 70% or even 60%. Her income is…

I signed up to Noddle a few months ago and just checked my credit report to find that Capitol One Bank ran a check on me and I have no idea why.
