0% Credit Card affecting Credit Rating
Hi all! I am aware that with a normal credit card, any balance left over at the end of the month is liable to be charged interest at what ever rate agreed and this will affect your credit rating/score. My question is: is this the same with 0% credit cards (credit score being affected)? I have read that you should at least…

Balance Transfer
I am wondering how it works when I have debt on my credit and want to do a balance transfer to a 0% credit card but I am a new mum and no longer working so when it asks about my annual income can I put my husbands salary down or do I just say £0 and I'm guessing this would leave me no chance of getting one?

John Lewis card on Apple Pay
Last I read , I think on the John Lewis page on Facebook, was that the support for Apple Pay for the John Lewis Partnership card was 'early in the new year'. I realise it's only January 15th so I'm not getting too excited yet(!) but has anyone spoken with them recently regarding this? Finally got my replacement contactless…

Capital One Credit Cards
We had an advert come up on our computer today saying that you can do a sort of pre-approval on a credit card that won't affect your credit rating if you apply. Went onto the website and got this wording: Our QuickCheck tool can tell you with 100% certainty if you're approved for a Capital One credit card before you apply.…

Credit Card / Building Credit Rating
I really don't want to be in debt, but I have a low credit score and one day want a mortgage. Is this correct? I get a credit card, with eg: £1000 limit. I spend £50 per month on that credit card. When the statement arrives it says I only have to pay off £5 (as an example) but I pay £50. Do I get charged interest if I pay…

CC Newbie - how best to pay off 0% purchases?
I'm planning to make a few big purchases on a 0% interest card with a very low minimum payment. I have been budgeting to pay off these purchases in a set amount of time (ranging from 6 months to a year); this seems the 'sensible' thing to do - pay it off as soon as possible and be done with it. However I can't escape the…

Amex £10 cashback on £2.25 insurance policy
I noticed that Amex are offering £10 cashback on gadget insurance. To get this, you need to save the offer to your card and take out one of their policies. You need to keep it for 14 days (so you don't get a refund) and cancel it before the end of the month when it renews. You need to pay with the Amex. The policy can be…

Hi all Not sure if this is the right place to post this. I bought something online using a Mastercard which I only ever use for online purchases.
