Avios points collection
I used the avios website to be directed to an online shop where I wanted to make a purchase as the points offer was 4 per £1 spent and I wonder if anyone knows how long it takes for the points to hit my avios account? Would it be instant or end of month at a pre-defined statement date?

Hi all. Just want to say after following tips and reading old threads, I took the plunge and called BarclayCard to see if I can lower my APR. Now for a living I work with complaints mostly seeing people ask for lower packages etc but thought well. I'll just try it and I'll get yes or no. I passed DPA said looking to lower…

I recently received a letter from Barclaycard explaining that they had overcharged me interest - the wording was as follows: "When previous promotional balances you had ended we made a mistake in how we used your monthly payment towards those balances. This means we overcharged you at least £249.89 interest" Now I…

Stoozing with Tesco CC with current account
The other day I applied for a Tesco current account, in order to make use of the 3% on balances up to £3000. That appears to have been accepted. Also today, I realised that, despite me already having a 0% Balance Transfer card, also with Tesco, I could apply for another for purchases. So I did and, to my surprise, was…

Do vanquis credit cards expire if not activated?
As title, I have had a Vanquis card since october 2014 and not activated it since then. I would like to use it but when I phoned up and got through to the automated activation line it would not recognise the numbers so I'm wondering if they cancel the card if not used within a certain time? Thanks

How to get some cashback?
Evening folks, I am planning on buying a few expensive stuff (total around 600 gbp) in the coming days and I know that there are many ways to earn cashback (apart from the obvious quidco and topcashback). I'm thinking of credit cards/bank cards that offer such luxury. However the market seems pretty dry in terms of choices…

American Express' Travel Cover?
What exactly does it cover? I've kind of seen the adverts over the last few years and they are forever promoting that they can find you a doctor who speaks English wherever you are in the world. That in itself is a good promotion. However, I was looking at the various AMEX cards last night (I'm not planning to apply for…

Card for foreign travel
We are visiting Poland in March and travelling with another couple. We are Beer lovers and visit Poland quite a lot. The couple we are going with tell me of a card they use each time they make a purchase, i.e Bar or a restaurant. They tell me it gives them a bit more on the exchange rate. They went to Poland in November…
