Avios points collection

I used the avios website to be directed to an online shop where I wanted to make a purchase as the points offer was 4 per £1 spent and I wonder if anyone knows how long it takes for the points to hit my avios account? Would it be instant or end of month at a pre-defined statement date?

It's not instant, it may take weeks. It depends on the retailer.
  • I think its up to 35 days.

Be aware though that if you didn't immediately complete your purchase after clicking the link from the Avios E-store (ie you went and visited some other website) then there is a strong likelyhood that your purchase will not be verified.
  • You should get an email within 24 hours of your purchase by Avios to confirm it has tracked. If no email after 5 days they suggest you fill in a missing miles form. So keep the original email you got from the company you bought the stuff off as will need the order number, time of purchase, day etc etc. Then takes 35 days at max though this will probably go over to be awarded the miles.

Good point but having experienced this in the past with Quidco, I made sure that I first of all cleared all cookies, followed the link and immediately completed the purchase.
  • The same retailer will almost certainly be on Topcashback.

Topcashback will almost certainly pay more.

Topcashback funds can be converted to Avios.

There are some good Avios deals out there though. You can collect with John Lewis (which wasn't on Topcashback last time I checked), plus in store at Caffe Nero and Pizza Express...
