Do vanquis credit cards expire if not activated?

As title, I have had a Vanquis card since october 2014 and not activated it since then. I would like to use it but when I phoned up and got through to the automated activation line it would not recognise the numbers so I'm wondering if they cancel the card if not used within a certain time?

    Why didn't you activate it when you received it?

    When I applied for it I needed to use it for something but then that reason went away by the time the card came so it got put away, that's why I didn't activate it.

    Well....they could think that, if a card hasn't been activated within a certain time, it probably hasn't been received and would block it. I guess a phone call is in order.

    Also, as it's been such a long time, they may want you to go through the application process again. Your financial circumstances now could be very different from 2014.
