Halifax Balance Transfer & Purchases Card
Hi all, I recently signed up for this card to allow me to continue to deal with work expenses over the next 21 months and to allow me to pull across any remaining balance on my old card (that I used for the same reason). However I came to do a small balance transfer today (30days after getting it) and I saw this in the…

Pleasently surprised by Aqua
My wife, a second cardholder, went on a spending spree abroad and on the 6th went over the limit by ~£30. I found this out on the 9th only when £12 overlimit fee had been already added on the 8th. I promptly made a bank transfer to put the balance well back under the limit, but decided not to ask Aqua to waive the fee as I…

Post Office Credit Card - 16 months on purchases
Hi folks, I've just signed up for a post office credit card after following the link from the main site, I read that it said 27 months on purchases or I would just get declined... it went through all well and good apart from the fact that it has stated that 0% on purchases will be for 16 months rather than 27 months. Any…

Buying a van with CC
I've seen a van I fancy which is up at auction on Friday. I'm told there is a 1% surcharge when using a CC which will be about £50 but it would be appealing to me if I was covered under section 75. What I want to know is if the van turned out to be a pig could I claim the money back from the CC company?

Basic Credit Card
Hi I want a credit card where whatever i spend on it i will pay off in full each month. Does it really matter what card i then get if it'll be paid off each month? I don't really use it, it's just for the security of paying via the credit card that it'll be used for. Thanks Chris

Tesco Card breach
Scambusters says it's CardSystems Solutions that's to blame for the data theft by a hacker. Maybe Martin could develop on that. Sorry. It seems that's an old story, but how can you tell when so many sites don't date their pages, even when they are 'news media'?

credit limit increase
Both me and partner got letters from Lloyds this month, they will automatically raise our limit end of month. Cards always paid in full, never went above the limit, all good. But we are looking at getting a mortgage this month. Concerned that raising this limit would count as a new credit check (we did not apply to have…

Stopping Interest if Receiving Tax Credits
I heard that you can stop the interest being added to your credit card debt if you are in receipt of tax credits. I am in this situation and the interest I owe on my cards is too much for me to pay off every month and I have no chance of making a dent in the money I owe. Please can someone advise me if this is true?

Does section 75 cover you on money transfer credit cards?
If I was to pay a landscape gardener on a money transfer credit card and they failed to do the work or something similar. Could I pursue them with my credit card company under section 75? I understand it's unlikely if I transfer money into my own bank account and then pay them via BACs, but if I do a direct transfer into…

Aqua Credit Card
So a few years ago I ran up some credit card debt that became too hard to pay off. So I entered into a Debt Management Plan to clear the debt. This worked great and I have now been debt free for about 4 years. Unfortunately this has left me with a bad credit score. At the moment it has only just entered into 'fair'. My…
