Does anyone know if Capital One increase credit limits on the 4th statement, I'm sure they used to do this?

I'd be interested to here what limits you had and what they increases to and roughly how long it took! :)

I had my account for a year before the credit limit increased from £200 to £800

I used it monthly for the first 4 months hoping for an increase but when it didn't happen I stopped using it.

Now I only use it when goimg abroad which isn't too often.
  • My mum has had a Capital One CC for over a year and still has not had a credit limit increase.
  • It states you can have upto 2 credit limit increases a year so every 6 months.... there is now a option on your online account to ask for a credit limit increase under 'account management' then 'manage your credit limit'. Let us know how u get on iv only have my Cap One for 4 months so not eligible. £400 @ 29.8%

It's 8 months since any previous increase, before applying for a new increase online.

I'm stuck on 450 limit, no probs though 0 credit used.

Yes your right! Sorry my mistake :

You can request a credit limit increase and we'll check to see if you're eligible. If you are, you'll have the chance to change your mind before accepting a new credit limit.

We aim to give credit where possible and contact customers who are eligible for credit limit increases directly, so if you haven't heard from us, chances are you won't be eligible for an increase.

We're unlikely to be able to increase your credit limit if:

You've had your card less than 6 months
You've had a credit limit increase in the last 8 months
You've missed any payments, or have gone over your limit in the last 12 months
