Capital One cash advance fee for "betting" transaction
Dear All, I have a Capital One cashback credit card and I am quite diligent about not incurring any fees. Do not use the credit card at an ATM, do not use credit card cheques, pay off balance every month etc. So it was much to my surprise that this month I incurred a £3.00 Cash Advance Fee. After a call to Captial One I…

Faulty purchase under £100, can I expect help from CC company?
Good morning all. I placed an order for an item for £99.99 which was delivered faultly. The supplier agreed it was faulty and sent out new parts to replace the damaged ones. To cut a long story short, after two sets of faulty parts and approaching six weeks of waiting, I'm at the end of my teather. The company is no longer…

Mastercard SecureCode/World Pay
Hi I use my debit card (maestro)to do online shopping and normally it works fine, but occasionally (it's happened about 3 or 4 times now) the transaction doesn't go through and it seems to be due to problems with Mastercard SecureCode/World Pay  I'm not at all sure how this system works and was wondering if…

Advice RE: A Credit Card With A Decent (24H) Authorisations Department.
Morning all. I regularly use my CapitalOne Credit Card out of "normal hours" and this is often for large Internet purchases. Unfortunately, I am now sick of having my card blocked due to their "Active Fraud" system, only to find the block cannot be removed between 7:30pm and 8:30am. The excuses are pathetic for such a…

Interest rate increases
Hi everyone. Can someone please explain to me how new interest rates are applied to credit cards. I started my credit card at just under 15% apr two years ago. It has gradually gone up to 18.9%. MBNA Triumph
I was on the edge of trouble with my debt repayments so I did all the research and was told that an IVA was possible. However I didn't like the thought of taking the root. One of the worst problems was an £11.5k debt with MBNA on a high APR. The minimum monthly payments were less than the interest. I called them up and…

Cash On Credit Cards
Does anyone know if it's possible to get cash on a credit card without being charged a daily rate if I withdraw it? Or is there a way I can pay an individual, rather than a business, with my card and take advantage of 0% interest rather than taking out a loan? Cheers.
