Transferred Balance - now new Spend
Hi This is my first post on this Forum and I have a question. I have transferred a small balance from Halifax 1 to Capitol 1 - no problem, but now need to place (spend) £1270 on a credit card. Capitol 1 told me NOT to put it on their card as it would only give me 0% until Sept on new spend. She said to put it on another…

Debit Cards
I have a debit card which I use extensively. I use one because I thought the money was deducted instantly from your account allowing you to always know where you stood. However, it seems that this is not always the case. I teach, and during the last Easter Holiday, I used my card to put down a deposit on a car with a well…

Turn your SkyCard into a 2% cashback card
SkyCard gives its customers 1 point for every £1 spent (not including BTs). If you redeem your points into SkyBet, 250 points becomes £5. If you already have a Skybet account, telephone them and ask them to redeem your points into your account. If you do not have an account, they will set one up for you. You can then…

Egg 3.9% balance transfer actually 9.9%!
Egg have today emailed out an offer of 3.9% balance transfers until 1st Nov (approx 5 months), however there is a transfer fee of 2.5% which is uncapped! I figure this therefore actually equates to an APR equivalent of nearer 10%!? Is this legal? Are credit card companies allowed to quote rates without an equivalent APR?…
