Just an interesting point of discussion, hope it's the right board!
Have you ever lied about your income to get a credit card or any type of credit?

Have a read of these threads:
Is it a serious crime to lie about your wage?
Loans co. wants 3 MONTHS BANK STATEMENTS
There was a further development with very serious consequences, but I cannot find the thread ...
P.S. I see now that the thread I was looking for was merged with the first one above. And the original title was ... 'I have been caught LYING ABOUT MY WAGE on a loan application (help)'0 -

My advice to anyone considering it is "Just don't" - the consequences (both legal and unforeseen) could be drastic. For anyone considering this action, there could well be an underlying reason as to why it is thought to be necessary. By lying the person could well not be understanding or addressing these underlying issues.
Not suggesting that you are considering it of course - just a reply to an innocent question. Hope this helps!0 -
No, but I did make an error the other day on my amex application and they don't seem to have noticed!
It said how long have you lived here? but I misread it and thought they wanted the date so I typed in 93/02 so it now looks as though i have lived here for 93 years! There was no way to edit it either, but it seems to have gone through okay!0 -

I'm guessing that your not yet 93! I would have thought that the error would be automatically highlighted by the systems somewhere along the line as you would have specified your DOB on the application.
As Clariman advises, I think a call to them would be a good idea as it may cause your application to get stuck at some point.0
