Can Amex do this ? I had a letter through recently offering 0% life of balance transfer, yes you read it correctly. I read the small print and except the £40 maximum transfer fee it was all OK. Needless to say when I cleared the card and came to do it they siad it had all been a terrible error but as compensation they would waiver any balance transfer fees, great i thought.
So I wrote to them and they said it had all been a terrible mistake and sorry no can do . I was gutted , but can they do this or do they have to stand by their offer however stupid ??
Help I have 8 weeks to complain to them or the ombudsman

You have to go through all stages of their complaints procedure before the ombudsman will even consider your complaint.0 -
