Virgin Cards and Balance transfers
For those that took out the 0% deal on transfers with Barclaycard last year and are currently tarting around for a new free home for your debt....beware. The Virgin card looks attractive but you may be refused if you have tarted with any other MNBA card in the past. Before Barclaycard I had used Mint which is MBNA. They…

Thanks for your help with MBNA
A few of you may recall me asking for advice on what to do about MBNA as the rate on my card was 24.9%. Anyway, after getting some help, I phoned up MBNA asking them to reduce my rate, and they said they could only reduce it to 22.9% and that I would have to pay them a £25 fee in order for them to do that. I declined…

Restrictions on Balance Transfers
Hi all, I was aware that Egg have imposed a restriction on BTs using their card. That is, BTs are restricted to 95% of available credit. Citi Classic and Citi Platinum?
I have had a Citi Classic Card for about 6 weeks. They were very, very slow in getting their act together. I've now been sent an application form for a Citi Platinum as well? Does anyone know if it is possible to have both? They only gave me a small credit limit on the Classic Card, but I was wondering if a second card…

How to turn an ordinary card in to an SBT
I think I have found a way to turn any ordinary card into an SBT card. My partner owed me £5000 so she took out a M & S card with 9 months interest free but only on balance transfers and I need the money in my current account. I have a credit card (any will do I think) with a zero balance. I phoned and told them (pretended…
