Virgin Cards and Balance transfers

For those that took out the 0% deal on transfers with Barclaycard last year and are currently tarting around for a new free home for your debt....beware. The Virgin card looks attractive but you may be refused if you have tarted with any other MNBA card in the past. Before Barclaycard I had used Mint which is MBNA. They are obviously getting cute to our perfectly legitmate debt financing!
I know that it was not a credit rating issue as have just taken 6 months 0% with Morgan Stanley and will of course steer clear of MBNA in the future.

MINT is NOT an MBNA card - it is a Royal Bank of Scotland Group card. It is true that MBNA have tightened up their lending a bit and no longer seem to offer multiple MBNA cards at the same time, but they do still let an MBNA tart/stoozer get further MBNA cards, providing that the earlier accounts are closed down.
I had 18 months at 0% on an MBNA platinum card and 9 months on an MBNA/Abbey card which were both closed in May. At the end of June I was accepted for a new MBNA/Virgin card.

I have a MINT card, use it for general use for cashback and pay in full each month (Since the 10 months 0% promo rate finished). - I've just moved my 0% from Barclaycard, due to end this month, to Virgin with not problems! Even got a better credit limit with Virgin than I did with BC.0

Barclaycard due to be paid off at the end of this month, Virgin card activated today, £11K+ into the (tax free
) savings account in six days time. The very nice man at Virgin told me that the minimum payment is £5pm. If that's the case then I'll only have to pay back £45 before paying it back completely. Now, where to go in April 2006? Far too early to tell, things may change completely by then. ...and then the window licker said to me...0
