Egg Blue,shall i take it?

I received an email from EGG this morning, they are offering me a Blue card,is there anything i can do with it?

At the moment,i have the Green card at 0% which i used to part settle my car loan, this has to be paid back by Sept 1st (i have the money saved),the balance is £2700 with a £7000 limit.I know i should have maxed the card and stoozed the surplus, but i want to keep things simple.

I also have a Virgin 0% card which i used to settle the remainder of the loan, this has to be repaid in Jan 2006 which happens to be my EGG aniversary month,so i will be balance transfering the outstanding Virgin balance to EGG then (i estimate about £4000).

I also have a Tesco card which i pay off in full every month,as i like to collect the points.

So,is the Blue card any good to me?

Can you super stoozers suggest a use for it?

I don't want the cashback element,as would rather the Tesco points.

The hard-core stoozers on this site will tell you that it's useful as a mule during months 2-5 of your anniversary period, and I'm sure it's mentioned in one of Martin's articles (yellow "credit cards" box to left of this screen).

I'm not sure of any other benefits?

it also charges 0% on purchases for around 5 months which is another way of (slowly) building up your stooze pot

Do they run a credit check on you for this card or is it already approved if you get the email

    Hi

When I phoned Egg, they told me they would only do an internal check?

I am now confused? Does anyone have anymore info?

Sometimes they do and sometimes they dont! It depends on how you have managed your Egg green card and (presumably) what your credit report was like when you got the green card
