Virgin Balance Transfers

Hi

I have been accepted for a Virgin Credit Card and want to Transfer my Balance to it. I thought all balance transfers would be free but on reading the terms and conditions it states: "We may charge a handling fee for balance transfers". Does anybody know when these handling fees apply.

You should be free of charges during the 9 month introductory period. Just make sure you check with them when doing the transfer.

Ring them up. I did and they told me it was free without me asking.

I have applied for a virgin card and I know from this site that BTs should be free throughout the 9 months. But what do you do if you get a customer service agent who doesn't know this? It seems a bit stupid to say: "Well, you're wrong and i know because I read it on a website". What have other money savers done in this situation?

I've just been through this process, and did a super balance transfer into my current account from the Virgin card and no BT fee was imposed. There is no fee when you do it for the first time when you get a new card, or when you apply for it. I asked this question a short while ago on this thread, so have a look at my previous threads to see what others said to me at the time.

Just activated my virgin card today,asked to do a balance transfer to my bank account,no charge.Brilliant,and thanks to this site and all who reside here.One more card to go to get sorted,
