I'm due a FPS payment today and it hasn't gone in.
A FPS is a full payment submission. Is this because today is regarded as a bank holiday?

Switching account after switch - time
Hi all, I recently switched to HSBC but I have regretted it a few days after opening the account with them. Every single bank transfer to my wife or my other account trigger a fraud warning and it takes long calls to clear them. I now want to switch from them but here's my question - can I do the switch at this point (I…

Full amount of our bills in joint bank account ready for the following months bill payments
Me and my partner have opened a joint bank account for our bills. Would it be easier once we have both got paid (we get paid around the same time at the end of each month) once we have been paid we put the total of all the bills in the bank account so for example if all the bills add up to £1200 we put this total in the…

Santander - New UI for paying existing payee
Without notice it seems that Santander are making payments to existing payee use their "improved" UI. Santander is my main account and over the years I've accumulated many payees (mostly to the best rate savings accounts and other current accounts opened for special offers). I've always kept a record of the mandate number…

Is a "Bank Holiday" treated any differently to a "weekend day" by the banks?
I use faster payments to transfer money on a Sunday from Tesco Internet Saver to my "Hub" current account to cover outgoings from the Hub on the Monday. I assume these FP`s will also work on a Bank holiday eg Tuesday 28/12/21 and Monday 3/1/22?

Nationwide

Business Bank Account for a Parish Council
Hello All, Not sure if I am allowed to ask this question as it is not personal banking, it is about a business account. I am a Parish Council Clerk for a small village. We currently bank with HSBC but we are now being charged £5 for the facility of the bank account, and 40p for every cheque. I have not been happy with HSBC…

PayPal payment as a DD
I hope this is the correct place to ask about this. I'm asking on behalf of a relative. They have made a donation to a charity, via PayPal and from their bank account, and it was a 'one time' donation. However they have seen on their bank account that it's down as a DD, the payment has now been taken/paid out and is also…

Dormant classic account at Lloyds - any fees to expect?
Hello, at the end 2017 I moved abroad and since then I've not used my classic account at Lloyds Bank. Back then I didn't know when would I come back to the UK so I left my account opened, just in case to have it in the future. I withdrawed all the money so that there were only about 5 pounds left on my debit card. Sounds…

Nationwide On A Go Slow
Quote: We’re sorry, all incoming and outgoing payments are delayed at the moment. Your payment is in a queue, there's no need to re-send. Probably busy counting the extra money they will be making due to the BOE interest rate rise, whilst not passing it onto savers.

recieving money for services from overseas
hello, I'm trying to work out what would be a safe and affordable way to receive money from overseas. Money would be paid from a Greek bank and I would either want to receive in GBP or transfer to GBP myself. Options seem to be PayPal, but fees are very high really. Will be a couple of transactions a year of around 4000 -…
