I've tried transferring money from Halifax and its being rejected. Rang Halifax and they said its been happening all day.2

It's not really a 'go slow'. Their system is broken and external payments can't be made in or out of accounts. If they don't get this resolved very soon it's going to cause massive problems with people not getting their pay and even if they have it being unable to pay bills.

We can’t accept payments into your account at the moment. Payments sent from your account are in a queueSorry for any problems this may cause. We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as we can.
Here’s what you might need to know:
- We can’t accept payments into your account from outside of Nationwide at the moment. The person sending you money will be told if they need to try again later.
- Additionally, payments sent from your account are delayed at the moment
- If you’ve sent money already you don’t need to do anything, it’s in a queue and will be processed ASAP
- Direct Debits and standing orders are working normally
You can continue to:
- move money between Nationwide accounts
- send money from your account(s), but this won’t go through straight away
- use your cards online and in shops
- log-in to our Internet Bank and Banking app
- withdraw money at cash machines.
Open Banking: You’re also unable to make payments via non-Nationwide Open Banking apps and websites right now.

I also notice they haven't bothered to send out a text or email to customers, you only get told when you try to log in to their website so they'll be people unaware that money hasn't gone in or out if they haven't logged in today.

The point you make above is particularly relevant given we are now over 9 hours in to this problem.Also, their current account customer service phone lines close at 6pm.So anyone who doesn't already know they've got a problem hasn't got long to find out before it becomes tomorrow's problem.0

Outgoing payments are working - funds I sent to the Co-op bank at 09:10 this morning arrived sometime between 19:00 & 19:30.

My incoming payment sent first thing this morning now arrived.

Seems to be happening again today.Mum tried to make a payment about 1pm today and I can't remember the exact message was but the website said the payment is processing and not to try and make the payment again. Hopefully it will go through this evening or tonight.Update at 17:00. Recipient has informed me they have received the money.0
