Bank switch guarantee, issues with HSBC and M&S
Hi all, Anyone got any advice on this? At the start of December, I moved my Nationwide current account to a HSBC one. Seemed to work fine, and obviously relying on the switch guarantee, I presumed it would stay that way. 2 very strange things have happened this week - My M&S loan direct debit failed - even though they took…

Time period of opening and closing First Direct?
Hey guys, I opened my First Direct account around 3 months ago, switching an account to do this and thus receiving the £125 switching bonus. I now want to take advantage of the £125 switching bonus to Natwest, but I wondered if anyone knew if there was a limited time period I need to keep my First Direct account open…

Limiting my parent's spending - goHenry
Hello, I'm looking for a practical way to limit my parents spending. My Dad is disabled and my mother was dismissed 9 months ago and has been unable to find work, though she established a good income from private work. Currently, I have to top them up by between £500 and £1000 every month. I have budgeted to be able to top…

TSB and the £500 rule
For TSB you have to pay in £500 to be eligible for the 3% interest. I'm about to move abroad indefinitely so my salary will no longer be paid into that account. Am I OK to set up a direct debit from another account to get round this? I think I know the answer but want to check. Also, at the risk of asking a stupid…

USD MasterCard in UK
Hello all, I have a rather strange and niche situation. I desire a MasterCard that can receive US dollars and can then be used to top up my Revolut account (using $). ISS Mediclean:Bank charges
Could someone please confirm for me that ISS Mediclean are responsible for hospital car parking services? I have 3 payments, not exceeding £3.60, on my contactless card. The confusion arises because yes, I made 3 hospital visits, but the payment dates do not tally with the dates I actually visited Grimsby DPoW Hospital.…

Club Lloyds fee not waived this month
Just checked my Club Lloyds account (preparing to switch it as I don;t think 2% is worth the effort anymore) but see I was charged the £3 fee this month. Normally there is a second transaction waiving the fee by crediting £3 back. Not this month. Two direct debits paid to Tesco Bank. £1500 paid in (actually slightly more).…

Using Direct Debits to Credit Cards
Is it possible to have more than one direct debit for the same credit card? For instance could I spend £40 a month on petrol on my Tesco credit card every month and set up direct debits of £10 a month to the credit card from 4 different bank accounts to meet the requirements of those accounts?
