Can you switch banks if u have outstanding loans
I want to leave Halifax due to the crippling new overdraft fees so plan to use my bonus in March to clear overdraft and then move to another bank. I have one loan with them and a very old credit card which the interest rate is frozen at 19% APR. I cannot repay either in the immediate future. My question is this, if I move…

Packaged bank account - historical Lloyds account
Hi, Has anyone tried claiming for a packaged bank account when they didn't have a record of the account number? From looking at the MSE guide I fit the criteria for mis-selling, but I closed my account some years ago and no longer have the account number. I just spoke to Lloyds and whilst they can find me on their system…

Lloyds are nasty
I was hospitalised prior to Christmas, and family sent letters to all banks advising of this. My Lloyds payment for current account and Credit Card were a few days late, what with Christmas shut down, although paid in prior to Christmas, they did not post to accounts until after Christmas by which time I had started to…

The 2 Direct Debits Thing
Switched accounts from TSB to HSBC in October last year after they offered the £150 switch deal. They said it'd take up to 50 days for the money for it to go in. I still hadn't received it yesterday so I gave them a call and was told that I wasn't eligible for it as I didn't transfer across 2 direct debits. I don't use…

what should I be compensated ?
Hi everyone, Last week I went into my local Halifax branch to deposit £600 into my personal bank account. I was asked to put my debit card into the card reader to do so. The day before yesterday I checked upon my account and noticed that there was no trace of this money being deposited! The staff spoke to me as if I'd made…

Why have Natwest changed my income figure
I applied for a new account for the switching incentive, and the monthly income I input on the website has been reduced on the paper version they sent me to sign. Why is this? Was there also an outgoings box on the application that they have used to deduct from the income? Or have they somehow cross-referenced with…

Tesco - no interest paid in January
Does anyone bank with Tesco and did they have this issue? I have 2 accounts, one of them paid interest as normal but the other didn't. They're both setup identically (3 DDs and a 750 deposit in each month) and I've had no issue in the previous months.

The situation in brief: my mother is living alone in another part of the country. She has dementia. Carers have started to come in three times a day to deal with food and medication. Is there a bank account like this?.
I'd like a joint bank account with my partner, that lets you set up several areas within. For example, it would be really useful to have one called "Holiday" so that money separate from anything else goes in there. Also one called "Emergency"... etc... Are there any like this? Thanks
