Making a complaint to lloyds bank

Good morning, I recently posted that I had my purse stolen which contained cash and my dads lloyds contactless card. The card had been used many times during that day until it was cancelled and money refunded. Now people and police are saying you got you're money back so move on but I can't. I have to see these purse thieves everyday but have no evidence it was them. Anyway, lloyds said they couldn't supply times of transactions? Police have said they could (although did nothing about it). Had the bank supplied this info, I could have acquired cctv from most of the shops to inform the police. In other words, their lack of information along with the police not lifting a finger, have allowed these people to get away with it and do it again. Who do I complain to please

As the money was refunded by Lloyds, they are the victim of this fraud. If neither they nor the Police want to investigate it, there's nothing further you can do. If it was a small amount, it sometimes isn't cost effective for them to look into it further. Plus it's not for you to complain as it was your Dads card.

Why did you have your Dad's card in your purse ? Your Dad will be in breach of the T & C's of his account by allowing you to use it if there is no POA or Third Party Mandate in place.

The OP's complaint is regarding Lloyds failure to provide times of the the transactions ?

Your bank probably has access to this information but may not be under obligation to divulge it to you. Perhaps you could try a freedom of information request? If the police have already indicated they won't be taking it further, however, then this will probably be futile. Even if you had CCTV evidence of people being in the shop at the time the cad was used, would that be enough to prove they had stolen the card? As mentioned before, your father's card had found its way into *your* purse - that puts you at least equally at fault to be honest, and that fact alone will undermine any attempt to take this further. The bank could have quite fairly withheld refunding the payment if they were fully aware of this breach of their Ts and Cs.

I sympathise with your predicament and share your frustration that bad people sometimes get off the hook. But this is a fairly fruitless line of enquiry. Try to draw a line under this and if you can't just punch the thieves on the nose the next time you see them.*

Would a shop actually be legally able to give someone this CCTV footage?

It's very difficult not to take something like this personally, but that's what you must try to do. These people would have stolen anyone's belongings if the opportunity presented itself, they didn't specifically target you.
Try to move on, the scumbags will get their comeuppance sooner or later.
