Hi
I recently opened a bank account with the intention of using it as a switching mule but I was just wondering if there was any rules as to the timing of opening an account and then switching?

That link doesn't work for me Westie, but I know I answered the same question yesterday.0 -
As long as the terms and conditions of your existing account don't require you to keep it open for a specific period of time (as the result of gaining some sort of incentive) then you can initiate a switch as soon as you have the account details. I would advise waiting for the debit card to arrive, as you will be asked for the number. Some people report having successfully switched without it, but there is no guarantee that it will work if you try.0
