Club Lloyds fee not waived this month

Just checked my Club Lloyds account (preparing to switch it as I don;t think 2% is worth the effort anymore) but see I was charged the £3 fee this month. Normally there is a second transaction waiving the fee by crediting £3 back. Not this month.

Two direct debits paid to Tesco Bank. £1500 paid in (actually slightly more).

Before I contact Lloyds, has anyone else had similar on their account this month?

You could just wait for a (business) day or two to see whether they really haven't refunded it.

Spoke too soon! Updated about 30 minutes later with another transaction to waive the fee.

yes, mine is the same - it's probably a delay in the refund going back in.

I'm sure it will be done overnight.

That’s interesting; I’ve just checked my Club Lloyds a/c and exactly the same thing has happened to me.
So.....I shall give them until tomorrow morning to waive the fee and if it’s still not there, I shall be on to them hotfoot and be chasing them up for a) an explanation and b) to ensure they put the £3 back again.:p

(As to waiting a business day or two, I shall be pointing out that it didn’t take them a business day or two to debit the £3 from my account, so they can jolly well put it back as fast as they took it!) ;)

Whoopee........the waived fee is back in the a/c!

    That’s saved me a phone call. :)
A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.

Before you switch remember you don't need the direct debits to get the Club lloyds benefit - you just need pay in the £1,500. I'm keeping my 2 accounts open (1 sole, 1 joint) to get 2 free magazine subscriptions.

    FTAOD no DDs, no interest.

"2% AER (1.98% gross p.a.) variable credit interest paid monthly on balances between £1 to £5,000 when you have at least two separate Direct Debits paid from your account each month.

Club Lloyds has no monthly account fee if you pay in £1,500 per month, otherwise it costs just £3 per month.
    Plus more great benefits."

    As it always is!
  • Sometimes it's a white knuckle ride getting interest and avoiding fees on these accounts.

And this one was a particularly exhilarating ride!
