Tesco instant access withdrawal issues?
Anyone else attempt to withdraw money from their Instant Access or Instant Access Savings accounts over the weekend and the money hasn't reached the destination even though it states on the Tescos statement it has been withdrawn? Have tried a dummy withdrawal from a Tesco current account this morning and that worked fine.

He recently allowed someone to use his bank account who carried out fraud. My son is 19 suffers from ADHD that sometimes makes him make some stupid…

Cheque Clearing Times
Hey I though it would be interesting to start a thread on the new cheque clearing system that is meant to start tomorrow (30th October 2017). Given that next day clearing was announced in March you would have thought a number of banks would be ready, but that does not seem the case. From my research of banks I deal with I…

Opening current account specifically to use with the Current Account Switch Service
Hi all, I’m opening a new account with Clydesdale, but I’ve just realised I don’t have a current account with another bank that I’m willing to fully watch over. I can open a current account pretty much instantly with my current bank, is there anything to say I can’t open an account with the view of using it straight away…

Can I get my money back?
I signed up to a free trial of a subscription service. Two days before it was due to renew I cancelled and was told nothing would be charged. However, today I received an email from them thanking me for my monthly subscription payment of £200. I checked my Halifax Current Account online banking and it's showing a £200…

What about "non-switch" straightforward new customer bank account deals?
We're looking to open a new joint account , for household bill DD's mostly. We each have a current account and don't really want to switch these. Having looked around all I can find are "switching" deals and no offers or incentives for new customers opening accounts direct. Any ideas?

Automatic switching - list of payment recipients
I have read that if you use automatic switching then all your standing orders and direct debits are moved automatically. I have a long list of accounts which are occasional recipients of payments (family, friends, tradesmen, suppliers etc.). Are these also transferred automatically, or would I have to copy them all from my…

Is it too late to downgrade a San123 current a/c if fee is due tomorrow?
I've opened the PO 1.27% instant access a/c for my mother and so want to downgrade her Santander 123 current account to avoid the fee, due on the 29th. If I do this today, will we retain most of this month's interest but avoid all of the fee, which I presume is levied in arrears? On online banking, there's only a link to…

FlexPlus Mobile Insurance and iPhoneX
Hi I was one of the lucky ones to get a pre order iPhone X to replace my old iPhone 6s. I went for the 256gb but have now realised (yes I know this is my fault) that my Nationwide FlexPlus insurance only covers phones up to £1000. Mine will be over this. When first setting up the bank account to cover the iPhone 6s I never…

When I try to log on to Halifax it keeps giving me this "Sorry, we've had to sign you out [Error: 18.3f33dd58.1509142150.5a6e506]" Everyone in my family gets the same message. When I turned on a VPN to change my IP it started working. So I know this has got to be an IP error. I haven't done anything, can anyone tell me as…

Switching to Clydesdale/Yorkshire again
My wife and I had a joint Yorkshire Bank account up until August last year when we switched to get HSBC's £150 + £50 incentive. However, with their £250 switch incentive, my wife is switching her sole TSB account to Clydesdale as a sole account (we've got married since we had a YB account). Will she qualify for the £250…

HSBC Advance Account-Experience
Hi everyone, I though of sharing my experience of applying for the HSBC Advance account. I applied initially online on Monday 23rd of October. While applying they offered me up to £3000 overdraft limit (free for the first 6 months), which I couldn't believe! I though I shouldn't be that greedy and asked for £2000 instead.…

Business bank account with poor credit history?
I'm a discharged bankrupt (discharged May 2016), and whilst my credit rating is improving steadily, it is still poor understandably. My only bank account is a personal, basic Nationwide account. I'm launching a start-up business in the next few months and will need to open a business bank account. I don't need anything…
