Can I get my money back?

I signed up to a free trial of a subscription service. Two days before it was due to renew I cancelled and was told nothing would be charged. However, today I received an email from them thanking me for my monthly subscription payment of £200. I checked my Halifax Current Account online banking and it's showing a £200 pending charge to this company on my debit card.
The weird thing is I do not have anywhere £200 available balance in that account, so I'm surprised the transaction wasn't simply declined.
Is there a way to get my money back? At present it's just an authorisation.

Get to a branch, with real people, and show them your post here
Be polite, but don't be fobbed off.
Let any calls necessary be made in branch at their cost and obtain dated paper proof of cancellation.
Remember, payment hasn't been taken yet, but you don't want to be risking an Insufficient Funds charge as well.
